Filming Permits

According to § 9 of the National Park Ordinance (NPVO), it is prohibited to carry out any economic use (such as all non-private filming) in the protected area without the permission of the lower nature conservation authority in the Berchtesgadener Land District Office (uNB). The issuance of a filming permit by the lower nature conservation authority is subject to a fee. Applications for filming in Berchtesgaden National Park must be submitted in writing to the National Park administration at least ten working days in advance.

Important: The use of drones is generally not permitted in Berchtesgaden National Park! Driving on closed forest roads in the national park is not permitted. Exceptions to the traffic order are granted by the uNB in a separate procedure only in justified exceptional cases, provided that the filming explicitly serves the purpose of the national park according to § 8 NPVO.
